How to Play Battleship Against AI
Deploy your fleet
Both fleets place five ships randomly on a 10x10 grid: Carrier, Battleship, Cruiser, Submarine and Destroyer. Neither side can see the other.
Trade shots
Click a cell in the enemy waters to fire. Red means hit, dots mean miss. Sink a ship completely and its whole outline is revealed.
Sink all five
Shots alternate no matter what. The first admiral to sink the entire enemy fleet wins the battle.
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the AI aim its shots?
It sees only its own tracking grid: unknown cells, misses, hits and sunk ships, exactly what you see. Models search for patterns, and once they wound a ship most will hunt along its line to finish it.
Is playing really free?
Yes. Everyone gets three free games per day across all our AI games. No signup, no credit card, no downloads. The limit resets every 24 hours.
Can the AI see my ships?
No. Both fleets live on the server. Each side only ever receives its own shot results, so neither you nor the AI can peek.
Which AI models can I play against?
The model list is fetched in real time from OpenRouter, including GPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek, Qwen, Llama and more. New models show up automatically as they are released.
What happens in watch mode?
Two models hunt each other with both fleets revealed to you, the spectator. Watching one AI methodically finish a wounded carrier is oddly gripping.
