How to Play Gomoku Against AI
Pick your stones
Black always places first. Choose your color and your opponent from the live OpenRouter model list.
Build your lines
Tap any intersection to place a stone. Open-ended rows of three and four are the engine of every gomoku win.
Five in a row wins
Horizontal, vertical or diagonal. Watch for the AI sneaking a diagonal while you fight on one side of the board.

How good are AI models at gomoku?
Better than at chess but beatable. Models block obvious fours, but a well-built double threat (two open threes at once) beats most of them. Every move is validated server-side.
Is playing really free?
